Are you a certified language teacher?

Yes! I am a certified language teacher for English 🇺🇸 (TEFL South Africa)

I also have a degree in teaching and I finished up that degree in Switzerland🇨🇭 where I studied Linguistics🥰

I have not studied Dutch specifically, but I am happy I did not, since I feel like it gives me extra amazement✨ for the language. I am very passionate about Dutch which you see in my videos and lessons 😊 Besides that, I was a high school biology teacher for four years! 🦠🧬🔬🌱  I have been enjoying teaching Dutch for 8 years now!

Can I have an invoice when we have a course or a package of lessons?

Yes! You can get a Belastingdienst recognised invoice. Please let me know if you need it or you’d need to put specific information (e.g. your employer info).

Do you accept Duo loan budget?

Unfortunately not (yet).

It requires an additional permit, which takes a great deal of paperwork and it is costly. Independent teachers almost never do this.

I will keep you posted on Instagram when Duo loan budget is going to be accepted.

Do you have any tips for the lessons?
  • 30 minutes before the lesson, get into Dutch mode, by reading Dutch articles or listening to something in Dutch. Your speaking will be much better during the lesson!
  • Buy ONE nice, physical notebook to write down new words in.
  • Always revise the grammar the day after the lesson.
  • Try to read blog posts about how people learn new, foreign languages and write down tips.

Where are the lessons? Online.. or?

Yes, they’re always online! My lesson material is optimised for online lessons. I could give them in person, but they simply wouldn’t offer you the same efficiency.

The course fully takes place online via Discord in a live call with me - all the lessons are taught in small (3-6ppl) groups There is lots of speaking and pronunciation practice during the course 😊

I need to cancel. Can I get a refund?

Yes, of course! You can read about the cancellation/refund rules here.

Which time zone are these lessons in?

Every displayed time is the Amsterdam time zone. If you don’t live in NL, or you are travelling, this website might help you figure out times😊

The only group I am available for is full.. what now?
  1. Consider a group that you could follow from the office
  2. Please book a flexible seat and text me on WhatsApp (click here to open a chat)

    3. I can then ask the group if someone wants to switch 😊

    If no one wants to switch, I will refund you right away!

if you cannot make it to any at all, I can offer you 2x1h 1-on-1 speaking sessions with a teacher instead ❤️
