Note: This masterclass does not include official exam registration or certification. It is intended to supplement your preparation and provide guidance for the Inburgering exam.

Participation Requirements:

  • Participants must have at least a B2 level of English proficiency.
  • Access to a stable internet connection and a computer with Zoom installed.
  • Registration is required to receive the meeting link and password.
  • Registration is completed on a first come first serve basis. Each masterclass date is open for a maximum of 30 participants.
  • In the event that participants need to cancel their reservation, they will be able to reschedule their spot for an alternative date that still has availability.

Frequent questions:

Do I need a book?

No, we have made all the materials ourselves. The materials consist of: presentations, texts with audio, exercises, interactive exercises and much more! After the course you have 3 more months of access to the materials, or a little more if you need it 😊 and The prep materials that you need to finish *BEFORE* the first lesson are a LOT. It is about 10-15h of work, so make sure to work on this for about 2 weeks, if you can.

I am from Tükiye 🇹🇷

Tükiye is gorgeous :) Discord is blocked in Tükiye though, so if you visit home, please install and test a VPN well in advance.

I cannot make it to 1 lesson

I’m sick!

If you’re not super sick, I recommend you follow the lesson passively; camera off, microphone off and you just listen. If you’re too sick to do this, please just rest 😊 and read the options below.

I can’t make it to the lesson!

Missing 1 lesson is no biggie, though every lesson is really important and equal to ~6h of self study.

  1. If there is another group of the same level that is in the same week, you can join the lesson with them once or twice 😊 or 👇🏽
  2. You will catch up with your peers in the peer study sessions.
  3. You can always ask questions in the group chat.
  4. You can schedule a personal Q&A with me for any questions you have left.

If there is another group that has the same lesson in that week, I might give you permission to follow a lesson with another group. You can only do this once per course, because it is not the best for your group dynamics.

Also let me know as early as you can.

If you have your PhD defence on the Friday and that lesson is also taught on the Wednesday, telling me on Friday is too late.

I can’t make it to the exam!

Do I get a certificate at the end?

Definitely! When you pass the course, you will receive your certificate one week after the course ends. More info here →

My English level isn’t B2 or higher..

If your English is B1+, you can still participate in the course, if you really want to. The course will be a lot harder for you🍀 You will not be paired up with a peer and you cannot request a refund. If you don’t know your English level. I can gauge it for you in a conversation. PS: If you knew the word gauge, you’re good

Where are the lessons? Online.. or?

Yes, they’re always online! My lesson material is optimised for online lessons. I could give them in person, but they simply wouldn’t offer you the same efficiency.

The course fully takes place online via Discord in a live call with me - all the lessons are taught in small (3-6ppl) groups There is lots of speaking and pronunciation practice during the course 😊

Which time zone are these lessons in?

Every displayed time is the Amsterdam time zone. If you don’t live in NL, or you are travelling, this website might help you figure out times😊

  1. Consider a group that you could follow from the office

    3. I can then ask the group if someone wants to switch 😊

    If no one wants to switch, I will refund you right away!
